Development Agreements: Next Steps
Issaquah Highlands

The Issaquah Highlands and Talus have contracts (called development agreements) with the City that dictate the rules and entitlements associated with each neighborhood for a specific time period. Both agreements are scheduled to end of 2017.

Issaquah’s goal is to keep the existing character of each urban village, and make land use rules more consistent with the rest of Issaquah.

The City is proposing to adopt new regulations and zoning classifications for the Issaquah Highlands and Talus areas that will govern development after the development agreements expire.

View the proposed replacement regulations.

Following public outreach in early 2018, and review of agenda bills by Council Land & Shore Committee, council will consider adoption of replacement regulations in March/April.
