Architectural & Urban Design Guidelines

As we plan for the future of Central Issaquah, we're working to ensure the area's look and feel reflects the City's vision.
In partnership with a consultant, Crandall Arambula, we're evaluating Central Issaquah's architectural and urban design standards. Our work with Crandall Arambula will include the development of an architectural/urban design manual.

Working with City staff and the Development Commission, our consultant examined what's working within Central Issaquah — and what's not.

A draft of the architectural/urban design manual is now available online

The City Council will hold a hearing at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 to take public testimony on some new additions to the proposed manual (hillsides and sloped sites; site walls; rooftop use). The proposed manual may change as a result of the public review process.

Comments can be provided at the hearing, or submitted to .
