Central Park

Using voter-approved park bond funds, we're working to provide athletes with a better place to play year-round.

Central Park's Field 1, or Pad 1, project will create two multipurpose sports fields with LED lighting (see site plan).

The project also includes widening of the Central Park Lane parking area, an additional picnic shelter and landscaping to create an open edge to the field and spectator seating, as well as needed field amenities, including goals, mounds and a scoreboard.

In addition, a walking path around the field and gathering spaces will be added.

Project construction is expected to start in June 2017, with completion anticipated for late 2017, weather permitting.

Funding for the project includes $1,550,000 from the 2013 park bond measure, $1,175,000 from multiple grants, a $5,000 donation and City funds.
In November 2013, Issaquah voters approved a $10 million park bond measure to protect open space and wildlife habitat, improve neighborhood parks and playgrounds, and make repairs to Julius Boehm Pool.
