  2. Celebration: Skate Park Ribbon Cutting

    October 30, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Tibbetts Valley Park

Join Mayor Fred Butler for a ribbon-cutting of Issaquah’s new skate park! The celebration will be held at the new skate park, located at Tibbetts Valley Park (across from the Issaquah Transit Center along Newport Way Northwest). Guests can skate at the new park, enjoy free snacks, hear from those who worked on the project, and meet artist Jake "Dkoy" Wagoner, who developed exciting public art for the new park. Reflecting a long-held community desire to offer skaters a better place to ride, the City started building the new, 10,500-square-foot skate park earlier this year. The park is designed to provide the most fun — and safest — experience possible for our skaters, and include amenities for skaters of all skill levels.
