1. Issaquah Creek Confluence Park Area. As of Feb. 19th, the City closed its advertisement and Request for Qualifications for the development of a master site/park design for the Tolle Anderson, Cybil-Madeline, and Issaquah Creek Parks. Sixteen (16) Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) were submitted and the review team is currently reviewing the SOQs. It is anticipated that the interviews of the top five selected firms will occur in the latter half of March. The City is excited to start the selection process of a design firm for this centrally located park in Olde Town Issaquah. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) sub-page is included under Parks and Natural Area Bond Projects and Information - Issaquah Creek Confluence Park Area.
2. Central Park - Pad #3. The synthetic turf field project located at Central Park - Pad #3 has been completed and is ready for use! If you or your organization would like to reserve one or both fields for soccer, LaCrosse or football games or practice, please call the Parks and Recreation Office at (425) 837-3300.
The City of Issaquah responded to public demand for all-weather, lighted fields and used Park Bond, Capital Improvement Project (CIP), a generous donation from the Issaquah Soccer Club, and grant funds from King County Youth Sports Facility Grant (YSFG) and Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office - Local Parks Grant Programs to develop the two artificial turf fields. Thank you for your support of the development of these new fields and the City of Issaquah Parks and Recreation Dept. hopes you will enjoy using them.
