The Public Works Department serves as staff support for the following Boards, Commissions & Committees:
- Utilities Committee. This Council committee deals with all Council matters regarding water, streets, sewers, storm water, LIDs, and franchises. Provides Council oversight of all public facility, transportation, construction, and maintenance projects. Interfaces with the Cable TV Commission.
- Transportation Committee: This Council committee deals with all matters relating to transportation (e.g. multi-modal, pedestrian access, sidewalks and transit), street, and signals. Interfaces with the Utilities Committee on overlapping projects.
- The Major Development Review Team (MDRT) serves as staff support for the following Boards, Commissions & Committees:
- Urban Village Development Commission. The Commission conducts planning level reviews of specified land use actions within the Issaquah Highlands and TALUS projects and serves as a scientific and technical resource authority and advisory body to the Mayor and City Council regarding actions necessary to conform with the policies, goals and objectives contained in the City Comprehensive Plan and the Issaquah Highlands and TALUS Development Agreements.
