H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu)

H1N1

H1N1 influenza, also known as "swine flu," is a newly identified virus that can spread from people who are infected to others through coughs and sneezes. When people cough or sneeze, they spread germs through the air or onto surfaces that other people may touch.

The City of Issaquah is closely monitoring the H1N1 virus, along with officials from Public Health – Seattle & King County.

In case of a more serious outbreak, the City is also exercising its plans to ensure Issaquah’s critical operations, such as police, roads and utilities, can stay running.
