BLOCK 9

BLOCK 9 Proposals

Affordable Housing Request for Concept Proposals

The City of Issaquah announces a Request For Concept Proposals (RFCP) to be submitted to purchase approximately 2.8 acres of land reserved by the City and construct at least 125 units of Affordable Housing.  Block 9 is located at the northeast corner of NE High Street and Highlands Drive NE.  It is immediately east of a 1,000-stall Metro Park-and-Ride garage and immediately north of the area of Issaquah Highlands planned for retail development.

City of Issaquah Zero Net Energy Demonstration Project RFQ

The City of Issaquah is seeking a builder for a proposed high profile, groundbreaking, cutting edge, attached residential green building demonstration project which, at completion, would be one of the most innovative sustainable housing projects in the Pacific Northwest.  The project would involve the design, construction, and sale of approximately 10 attached residential homes, built to an extremely green standard, including zero net energy usage.  A major regional marketing and education program (led by the City) is included as part of the project.

The project has already generated significant press, including a front page Seattle Times article and BBC interview.
