The City of Issaquah Police Communications Center is a primary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for both Issaquah and Snoqualmie Police Departments and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Communications Center logs more than 5,000 9-1-1 calls annually and handles 21,714 calls for service overall.
The Issaquah Police Communications Center is comprised of ten, highly trained and dedicated Communications Specialists who provide outstanding communications service.
Communications specialists receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls as well as provide clerical support for the Police Department operations.
Communications specialists communicate on a multi-frequency radio console with Police Officers, public works staff and other responders as appropriate. Communication specialists exercise considerable judgment and decision-making in handling emergency requests and sensitive matters.
The Communications center equipment is state of the art. It consists of; Spillman CAD, E911 Positron Power Phone, ALI Trakker mapping, Centracom Elite 800 mhz radio system, Simplex security CCTV camera and alarm panel.
