Plan Ahead: Utility Rates/Taxes

City Hall

Attention ratepayers: Your utility bills are changing in 2020 to support ongoing City services.  The changes reflect previously adopted rate increase on water, sewer and stormwater utilities, plus an increase in the utility tax rate.

See the 2020 utility rate chart online.

Utility tax rates:

  • Water: 3% (previously 2.33%)
  • Sewer: 3% (previously 0%)
  • Storm: 3% (previously 0%)

For an average single-family residence, here’s an example of the changes to a bi-monthly consumption:

Average consumption from the City’s 2018 Water Study for a single-family residence is 12 ccf for water and 10 ccf for sewer.
