Transportation Advisory Board: Initial Recruitment

The City is now recruiting qualified community members to serve on the new Transportation Advisory Board.

Created in 2017, the Transportation Advisory Board - yet to be initiated - will provide additional expertise and advice on the City’s transportation system and goals.

Interested community members should possess knowledge and interest in transportation policy and planning. Membership will be of professionals from transportation disciplines including planning, engineering, transit, nonmotorized, technology, construction, program management and community members who have an interest in transportation as evidenced by training, experience or actions.

The City is recruiting for nine regular positions and three alternate positions.
Members serve without compensation and are expected to attend all regular and special meetings throughout the year, unless they have an excused absence.

Meetings are held in the evenings and may be subject to video recording for live broadcasting and rebroadcasting purposes.

Initial terms will be staggered. All members are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Terms expire April 30 of the year listed. Applications will be accepted through Feb. 28, 2018. If warranted, the recruitment period may be extended.

For more information about the board, see IMC 2.92  and the Transportation Advisory Board web page.
