Public Hearing: Safe Injection Sites and Proposed Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map Amendments

Thursday, January 11

The Planning Policy Commission will hold a hearing on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers, 135 E. Sunset Way. The purpose of the hearing is to take public testimony on: 1. Proposed amendments to the Issaquah Municipal Code and Central Issaquah Development and Design Standards prohibiting Safe Injection Sites (also called Community Health Engagement Locations); and 2. The docket (list) of proposed Issaquah Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map amendments for 2018, including but not limited to: a. Proposed changes to Land Use Element based on 2018 population numbers; b. Proposed changes to the Land Use Element regarding policies for compact schools; c. Proposed changes to the Land Use Element regarding Transfer of Development Rights; and d. Proposed changes to Zoning Map, including: Community Facilities designations and rezones for public land that is used for public purpose. Written comments on the proposed amendments and the proposed docket of Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map amendments may be sent to the Development Services Department, PO Box 1307, Issaquah, WA 98027, or DSD@issaquahwa.gov prior to the public hearing. Written or verbal comments may be provided at the hearing.
