Do you know your Greenway?

To learn more about the beautiful places you can explore near your home or workplace, consider attending the seventh annual Greenway Days celebration from June 19-20, 2010.

The two-day festival boasts numerous events throughout several communities spanning 100 miles along Interstate 90. The festival also celebrates conservation and education efforts in the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the more than 4,000 annual volunteers who give their time to enhance the Greenway.

The Mountains to Sound Greenway embodies one of the most successful land conservation programs in the United States, with:

• 750,000 acres of public land
• 1,600 miles of trails
• 100 miles of scenic views from I-90
• Hundreds of lakes, waterways and wetlands
• Dozens of campgrounds, museums and farms
• Over 650,000 new trees planted since 1995
• Hundreds of corporate and individual financial supporters and donors

In addition to its signature events – including the Fenders on Front Street Car Show and Cruise in Issaquah on June 20 – Greenway Days will also offer several other community celebrations.
